Fostering takes up a small space in your house but a huge space in your heart!
It can be as easy as converting your spare bathroom in to an instant kitten nursery or donating the sunroom to an aging cat that just needs a little R-n-R.
Fosters integrate with your existing family, both animal and human. It’s an ideal way to teach your children about responsible pet ownership and a lesson in compassion when comforting a sick tabby. Many of our returning foster families have an older cat or dog who ‘raises’ the orphan kittens.
Get Involved
One way you can help is by fostering a momma cat with kittens or orphaned kittens. We also have adults that have a medical condition, need a break from shelter life, or are recovering from a surgery. We currently have roughly 200 foster families that assist us, and we are always looking for more loving homes.
If you are interested in becoming a foster parent for CAT, please fill out and submit the volunteer application.
