The Cat Adoption Team is part of the recently created Animal Shelter Alliance of Portland (ASAP).

ASAP is a coalition of public and private animal shelters, and the veterinary medical community, in the greater Portland metro area. ASAP is dedicated to the shared mission to end the euthansia of social, helathy, or treatable cats and dogs in our local shelters by collaborating on spay/neuter programs, education and adoption outreach efforts, and the promotion of humane alteratives for feral cats.

ASAP adopted the language of the Asilomar Accords to standardized the collection and reporting of shelter data.

The collection and publication of CAT’s shelter data is sponsored by Maddie’s Fund ®, www.maddiesfund.org.
